Class Waiver and Studio Policies
Effective date: September 21, 2026

By registering for or participating in a class, workshop, or studio activity offered by Hunter Pottery Studio, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

Assumption of Risk
Pottery and ceramic activities involve inherent risks, including cuts, burns, slips and falls, exposure to dust or materials, repetitive-motion injuries, and contact with tools, equipment, kilns, glazes, and other studio materials.

I understand these risks and voluntarily accept responsibility for the risks associated with participating in studio activities.

Safety Instructions
I agree to:

Follow all instructions provided by studio staff and instructors.
Use tools, equipment, materials, and studio areas only as directed.
Wear appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes when requested.
Keep food and drinks away from work areas where required.
Inform the instructor of any condition that may affect my ability to participate safely.
Avoid entering restricted areas or operating kilns and other equipment without authorization.
Hunter Pottery Studio may stop or restrict participation when conduct creates a safety risk.

Release of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Hunter Pottery Studio, its owners, instructors, employees, and agents from claims arising from the ordinary risks of participating in pottery classes and studio activities.

This release does not apply where liability cannot legally be waived.

Personal Property
I am responsible for my personal belongings. Hunter Pottery Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property except where required by law.

Ceramic Work and Firing
I understand that ceramic work may crack, warp, break, discolor, or otherwise change during drying, glazing, firing, storage, or handling. Results are not guaranteed.

Finished work must be collected within the pickup period communicated by the studio. Work left beyond that period may be discarded or donated when permitted by studio policy.

Health and Materials
I will notify the instructor before participating if I have allergies, sensitivities, injuries, or other concerns relevant to studio materials or activities. I understand that the studio cannot guarantee an environment free from dust, clay, glaze ingredients, or other potential allergens.

Minors
A parent or legal guardian must accept these terms for any participant under 18. The parent or guardian is responsible for ensuring the minor follows studio safety instructions and conduct requirements.

Conduct
Participants must treat staff, other participants, studio property, and shared workspaces respectfully. Unsafe, disruptive, threatening, or abusive conduct may result in removal from the class without a refund.

Cancellations and Refunds
Class cancellations, transfers, credits, and refunds are governed by the terms displayed during registration or otherwise communicated by Hunter Pottery Studio.

If Hunter Pottery Studio cancels a class, registered participants will be offered a refund, credit, transfer, or rescheduled class, as appropriate.

Emergency Assistance
If an emergency occurs and I cannot provide instructions, I authorize studio staff to contact emergency services. I understand that I am responsible for medical or transportation costs associated with such assistance.

Agreement
By checking the acceptance box during registration, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to this Class Waiver and Studio Policies document.
